Stadiums are built on hierarchy
A stadium is literally an architectural spell:
- One elevated figure
- Tens of thousands facing one direction
- A single source of sound and light
- A crowd trained to respond in unison
It’s not neutral. It encodes the leader & follower archetype. It’s about energetic ethics.
🌿 Post pandemic, the collective nervous system changed
Large crowds now carry:
- A memory of vulnerability
- A heightened awareness of contagion
- A subconscious distrust of mass gatherings
- A craving for intimacy over spectacle
🔥 St. Tammany took the place that celebrities once held for me, and Saints don’t gather crowds the way celebrities do
Historically, Saints, Chiefs, & Sages:
- Sat in circles
- Walked among people
- Created shared space, not elevated space
- Invited participation, not worship
Not rejecting scale. Rejecting domination geometry.
We’re not meant to stand above a crowd. Were meant to stand within a community. A family.
This is why I instead focus musically on recordings as they’re a timeless intimate experience.
If I could sing in harmony with every single person personally instead of a crowd, I’d perform live.
