Healing Anxiety

Overcoming Approval

A lot of anxiety is rooted in approval. Throughout our lives we’re taught to need approval. In school, church, work, & especially at home. We find that we often hold our parents’ approval above that of even The Divine. Thoughts and actions are self aligning, so we don’t need an added layer of anxiety and its parent: authority. Though we often find an opportunity to heal those that unknowingly impose their anxieties upon us. Finding it as gifted service, overcomes the approval/disapproval cycle.

Overcoming Time

A lot of anxiety is rooted in time. Were taught that we have none. A price tag placed on every second. To overcome that, we practice accepting the gift of life. Every second a gift. Given. Free. Pure.

We can go an entire month without food, of which is often a healthy thing to do if we can endure it. We can go an entire life without money, as proved by the Lenape Tribe, of whom had no money, yet had everything. We find that we will always the necessities of life of which initially brought us together. There are rare situations where the necessities are being kept away from others deliberately. You can say capitalism is attempted genocide upon those without money, but even then, you find community breaking the illusion of capitalism cast upon us. You’ll find community even within the most capitalistic, it’s our humanity.

Overcoming Urgency

Free

We find that the purest path is always free. Making do with what we already having. Learning to play our old guitar a new way, instead of purchasing a new one. Living with our parents while we develop our skills, instead of jumping directly into success being out there.

Even when we work, when we find it as exercise and an opportunity to grow and apply passion, suddenly any pay becomes free along with the bills it pays. If we find our skills and health gifts, even our kindness, it all becomes free, releasing us from the anxiety of time.

Overcoming Location

When we find the happiness in growth itself, and that growth can occur anywhere, as it occures within, we overcome the anxieties of location. This is where spirituality and philosophy especially heal. We get to a point where were entertained by the thoughts that come to us and grow. Suddenly we’re not just looking at a tree, we’re imaging its experience, and seeing the insights it mirrors. We can wrestle with the mystery of the Divine forever, as it’s forever beyond…and growing.
